It’s the perfect introduction to the food of Majorca. In 2019, there’s a wealth of options to explore with an array of local restaurants scattered around the stunning Southwestern coast of Majorca. What is the Mostra de Cuines?
Every Friday throughout the month of April, Calvià’s biggest food show comes to forefront. Get to know a different side of the Majorcan culture through some of its traditional dishes as well as sample some incredible flavours from around the globe.

Majorca is famous for its rich Mediterranean flavours with influences from the Sea that surrounds it.
Each week, a range of different restaurant venues in a different area of Calvià prepare a set menu for you to sample the best of their produce. Each establishment includes a first course, second course, desert and a drink for a reasonable rate between 12 and 16€.
The vast majority of venues will be providing two services (13:30-15:30 and 19:30-23:00) with some offering a number of other perks. These include a specific set menu for children, vegetarian and gluten-free options and alternative menus to those that can be found in the programme.
In 2019, this food fair in the Southwest of Majorca continues to prosper with 50 different choices of restaurant to choose between. Take a look at various venues and mouth-watering menus right here.
Where should you go to indulge on Majorca’s most prestigious flavours?
On the first week of the food show, you could take a pleasant trip up the coast from our hotels in Santa Ponsa, to the gorgeous Port Adriano in El Toro and try some of the seafood delights that the Vino del Mar restaurant has to offer. Or even spend the afternoon at seaside resort of Peguera a short stroll from the stunning Cala Fornells beach, and sample some typically Mediterranean cuisine at the La Gritta restaurant.
The second week of the event moves to the more exclusive area of Portals Nous where you can admire the incredible super yachts in between a delightful three course meal. As well as, enjoy an afternoon at the lovely beach in Illetes before a typical Majorcan meal at Balneario Illetas.
Week 3 of the Mostra de Cuines sees the show come to the town of our seafront Tropico Playa hotel, Palmanova with an abundance of options to choose from including the highly rated My Thai restaurant which offers fresh flavours from Southeast Asian cuisine. You could also indulge at the No Stress or Ciro’s Restaurants which are both serving an array of wonderful fresh seafood. Alternatively take a visit to the Tabú restaurant for an exciting mixture of Mallorquin cuisine.
Las Palmeras restaurant, a short walk into Magaluf from our Tropico Playa hotel, is also offering a menu showcasing the best of Spanish food, as is the restaurant Tast whose menu features a range of small tapas style dishes.
The final week of the food fair arrives at Santa Ponsa, the home of our Pirates Village, Plazamar Serenity Resort and Jutlandia Family Resort. The list of restaurants for Week 4 includes an array of great beach side restaurants including 7Fuegos, where you can treat the taste buds with some slow cooked beef ribs. If you are a lover of Japanese cuisine, you can head over to the EBISU Sushi Lounge where they have prepared a special menu specifically for the Mostra de Cuines, showcasing the best of their Asian cuisine. Whilst the Meson del Mar, a Spanish restaurant with fantastic views over the bay in Santa Ponsa emerges as a popular venue serving a delightful paella.
