You could choose the hotel chain with the widest selection of hotels you’ve ever seen, you could also choose the one with services that had never even crossed your mind or the one with the highest ratings on holiday comparison websites like TripAdvisor… But if it does not offer a personal touch with a fantastic atmosphere like the hotels belonging to Gran Isla, then is there any point?
If you read our Gran Isla blog post two weeks ago, you will have seen what Marta, our Entertainment Manager at Pirates Village Apartments, said about our customer service. She said the reason we have so many repeat guests at our resort is because we offer hands-on entertainment, with animators who never leave the children’s side, whether it’s during the day with our daytime activities or at night when children have the chance to take part in the evening shows.
One week later, on another post, Robbie, another of our favourite pirates commented on the efforts of our member of staff saying, “Every single member of staff who works here believes that they are part of this hotel, of its concept and of what we create. This mindset, the teamwork of every single department of this hotel, is what makes Pirates so unique.”

Introducing Saskia, our Manager at Hotel Tropico Playa in Palmanova. When asked about any changes that have occurred from last year to this year, she had this to say: “We have definitely had many more repeat guests and an even better atmosphere. We have organised more cocktail and chill parties on the terrace with lounge music and special dishes to connect more with our customers and add a little extra to their stay”. She also adds, “one of my daily duties is to make sure our staff is happy”. At Gran Isla we consider this a vital factor in the management of our hotels as, if our staff are not happy then neither are our guests. Our employees’ happiness is one of our main priorities and so to know we are succeeding in this makes us very happy indeed.
Sebastian, our Hotel Manager at Hotel Piscis in Alcudia makes sure he comes to talk to his employees every single day to maintain contact with them which he believes is very important for the management of the hotel. “We are improving with every passing year and are creating better relationships with all of our staff. Over the course of the whole year we have only had maybe 2-3 employees leave us which is not a lot given that we have nearly 40 members of staff.” When asked what he likes most about his job, he answered, “the contact I have with guests”, another example of the importance of customer service at our Gran Isla hotels.
