Music makes everything that little bit more memorable. One of the world’s most famous pop bands from years gone by is making a stop on the beautiful islands of Majorca for one night only and this could be your opportunity to add that charismatic theme tune to your family holiday. Who is it, you may ask? I’ll give you a four-letter clue, Y… M… C… & A. Yes, it’s the Village People. A major throwback to the 70’s and 80’s amongst an array of fantastic artists from pop, rock and jazz backgrounds that can be found on the list of musicians set to light up the stage at this year’s Port Adriano Festival. So the Village People are performing in Majorca. Who would have thought? It’s been 40 years since they rose to fame with the success of hit singles ‘Go West’ & ‘Y.M.C.A’, but they continue to light to the stage at events around the world, and will be doing so at the 7th edition of the Port Adriano Music Festival. If you have always dreamed of singing along to classics such as ‘In The Navy’ and ‘Macho Man’ in the flesh, then this year’s festival provides the perfect platform for you.
The Port Adriano Musical Festival is filled with an array of talent which covers a range of genres. 8 different will be welcomed to the stage between the 21st July and the 14th August with something for everyone. As mentioned, the Village People will be performing, and they take to the stage on the 3rd August.

Grammy winning Gregory Porter will open the festival on the 21st July.
In the world of Jazz, two very big names from the United States will be gracing the stage in the Southwest of Majorca. Kicking off the festival is Gregory Porter, the Grammy winning jazz singer and musician who has risen to the top of the game within the last few years. Whilst fellow American, Maceo Parker, renown as a singer and saxophonist, as well as his work with the late great James Brown will be performing on July 27th.
Tony Hadley will play at the festival towards the end, on the 9th August, with a mixture of songs from Spandau Ballet and classics from his favourite singers including Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett.
Whilst Queen of German pop music, Nena, famed for the 1983 classic ‘99 Luftballons/Red Balloons’ is set to close the festival.
Another noteworthy mention goes to Dios salve a la reina (God save the Queen) – a tribute act in memory of Queen and Freddie Mercury performing on the 1st August.
Port Adriano is brazenly a luxury oasis on the Southwest coast of Mallorca. Super yachts fill every corner of this stand-out Mediterranean port.
