When Port Adriano is mentioned in conversation, it is often followed by words such as luxurious, contemporary and beautiful. This delightful destination is one of the main ports in Majorca that encompasses luxury living with its own unique modern Mediterranean outlook. This port located in the Southwest of Majorca, close to our Gran Isla hotels in Santa Ponsa and Palmanova, in the town of El Toro, boasts a plethora of venues and activities to discover. Enjoy a day out with the family at one of the island’s top summer destinations.
For many years, this was a port that was always up and coming. Surrounded by a number of purpose built holiday resorts, there was always a wealth of expectation to what could become of Port Adriano. Back in 2012, the entire port was redeveloped by the architect Philippe Starck with the main idea to create more large berths, that can hold boats up to 100 metres, for the super yacht community due to a lack of mooring spaces for Majorca’s most elite yacht owners. But with the redevelopment brought a range of new commercial and touristic values including a vast, modern, maritime shopping centre in the heart of the port, featuring high end fashion designers and delicious cutting edge restaurants. All of which have given Port Adriano a different, more luxurious facade than the surrounding towns in the region of Calvia.
How To Get There
And it’s so easy to get there! As mentioned, the port is located in El Toro in the Southwest of the island and is highly accessible. Port Adriano is a mere 8km from our Hotel Tropico, Palmanova and is less than a 15-minute drive away. Whilst it’s just 4 to 5 km from our family hotels in Santa Ponsa. All of the Jutlandia Family Resort, Plazamar Serenity Resort and Pirates Village are just over a 5 minute drive away. You could even cycle there in less than 20 minutes or take a stroll through the streets of Santa Ponsa to the port, which would take approximately 50 minutes. Alternatively the Line 104 bus (passing through Santa Ponsa and Palmanova) stops at the start of El Toro, next to Santa Ponsa Golf III and just a few metres from the port itself.
