April is our favourite time of year in Majorca. Can you guess why that is? This is because the island’s countryside is alive with colour; from the orange of the orange trees in Soller Valley to the soft lilacs of the almond trees in full bloom in the east of the island, the weather is notably hotter, locals are trading in their jumpers and coats for shorts and t-shirts and at Pirates Village ,things are already underway to offer you the most enjoyable holiday to Majorca imaginable…
So what makes a fun holiday for you? A week away with the kids, beach days out, all kinds of games and activities and all-inclusive service… And what about a competition where every member of the family gets involved, bringing you closer together and helping to create fun memories that last a lifetime…You guessed right! We’re talking about the 3 edition of our Pirates Village Dress Up competition.
For new arrivals to our pirate-themed apartment complex in Santa Ponsa we are going to tell you a bit about the rules of this fun contest and how you can get involved. So, as you’ve probably already guessed by the title of the competition, this contest involves dressing up in your best pirate costumes and travelling in them all the way to Pirates Village from your house. This means: in the taxi, through security at the airport, at the boarding gate and on your transfer bus to our apartment hotel. We need photographic evidence so get your cameras at the ready! Don’t forget to ask permission first from airport staff before taking photos in some areas of the airport. The ones that get the most shares on Facebook will win!
And the prize? An all-inclusive 7-night stay at Pirates Village Apartments. Yes, that’s right! Simply for having a fun trip and being your silly selves you’ll have the chance to win a free week-long stay at our resort. The best thing is that you have until 3rd November to think up the best pirates costume ever to ensure you win. Get ready to impress us with your creativeness!
Last year a total of 8 families entered the competition with the Redshaw and Woodacre families sharing joint prize as they managed to get a staggering 35,963 shares between them. Do you think you could get more? Keep updated with the contest on the Pirate Village Facebook page here:
You didn’t think that was all, did you? Brand new for 2018, Pirates Village will be hosting a kids dress up contest as part of our entertainment programme this year. We strongly recommend encouraging your kids to join in this competition as we believe it’s a fun way for parents and children to get creative together and come up with unique ideas. It’s also a great way for your little ones to make new friends and grow in confidence in such an interactive activity!
