The route starts at the sports centre in Magaluf, with a route around the surrounding in-land areas, winding past the T-Golf course not too far from our hotels in Santa Ponsa. Followed by a lap of the Go-Karting track on the outskirts of Magaluf, then back into the town, along the coast past the three beaches in Palmanova and our seafront Tropico Playa Hotel and finally back to the beach in Magaluf where you will find the finish line.

The region of Calviá is a stunning part of Majorca, adorned by an array of gorgeous clear water beaches, situated at the foot of the spectacular Tramuntana mountains. It is home to Magaluf as well as the fantastic holiday destinations of Palmanova and Santa Ponsa, where our Gran Isla hotels can be found. But why should you consider taking on challenge? There are many reasons for you to run a half marathon or even a 10k. It’s a super easy and cheap way to get fit. Whilst gadgets potentially help the process, all you technically need is a pair of running shoes and you can take part anywhere you like.
The sense of accomplishment, whether it be weight loss, increasing fitness levels or actually completing the race, can elevate your self-esteem and confidence. 13 miles is no steady feat, and once it’s all over you can look back and be proud of how far you have come.
It’s a challenge but you can do it if you assert yourself. You don’t necessarily have to do it for yourself either, you can help support a great cause throughout your running journey. What better motivation is there than to support a charity or organisation that means something to you.
2019 could really be the year that you achieve something as inspirational as a half marathon whilst you enjoy a fantastic holiday in Majorca with family and friends to cheer you on.
