At our Gran Isla Hotels, we always recommend a day out to Sol Katmandu Park during your stay with us. This theme park offers activities for all tastes, ages and preferences, such as: the upside-down house, mini golf and 4D cinema; which we can help our guests book at a better rate than the one offered at the theme park’s own ticket office.
This is a place where families can have a fun-packed day out and create unforgettable memories together. But it is at Katmandu’s most-anticipated cosplay event of the year (and the best in Spain according to the website of Star Wars Spain 2017) when you are guaranteed to have a truly incredible experience if you are a fan of Star Wars, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Indiana Jones or Ghostbusters…
So what’s in store for you this year? Star Wars fans will get the chance to meet actors who have participated in the films, such as: Alan Flyng who starred as the Imperial Bridge Officer in Return of the Jedi; David Santana, the first Spanish actor in the films and Sandeep Mohan who starred as a Stormtrooper in Episode VII. In addition, you will be able to meet your favourite characters from the saga, such as the evil Darth Vader, Princess Leia and Han Solo… The fun does not stop there! Battle with lightsabers, use voice-altering technology to become your favourite characters and buy authentic souvenirs!
Fans of the Harry Potter series will get the chance to be sorted into houses by the sorting hat, meet their favourite professors and admire the Great Hall floating candles ceiling…
All of this is just a taster of what is waiting for you during this fun and action-packed event which will bring together more than 26 entities, each offering different activities from different science fiction and fantasy sagas and series. Entrance to the theme park is free during this event, with each activity costing from 1-4 euros and proceeds going to charities supported by the resort.
