You have been waiting all year long to enjoy warm summer nights, to be able to walk along the coast in sleeveless clothing whilst being caressed by a gentle breeze. You want to enjoy one of the world’s most beautiful natural wonders in the best spots in Majorca with your partner and kids as you enjoy a nighttime picnic, cocktails at a trendy hangout or from a stunning rooftop which boasts panoramic views of your entire surroundings… Sunsets in the Mediterranean are unique and unforgettable, therefore, let Gran Isla show you the best places in Majorca for sunsets and enjoy an evening you will never forget!
La Seu Cathedral. Palma’s striking cathedral is without a doubt one of the best places to enjoy sunsets in Majorca. There are two ways you can enjoy sunsets here. One is by climbing the stone staircase to the first floor, just below the second staircase to the cathedral. If you walk forwards, you will find the lookout points where guards in the past used to patrol. From these lookout points you will be able to admire the moat, Mediterranean sea and the sun as it sets in the east. If you want an even better view you can book a sunset rooftop tour of the cathedral. This tour starts just before sunset and guides you through the history of this stunning Roman Catholic cathedral as you climb the stairs to the bell tower and then up towards the roof terrace. Here you will get the opportunity to admire sunsets from different angles. Ideal for that picture-perfect moment!
Palma port. If you want to enjoy sunsets over a cocktail in a chic atmosphere, then the start of Palma port, opposite the cathedral, is the place to be. Not only will you enjoy front-facing sunset views here, you will also be able to admire some of the most expensive yachts in the world. After the sun sets, go on a romantic stroll down the ‘paseo marítimo’ (promenade), past these luxurious yachts and gorgeous palm trees until you reach the trendy area of La Lonja, the perfect place for drinking, eating and dancing the night away.

Cap de Formentor is famous for its pink sunsets
Sa Foradada. If you have chosen to rent a car on your holiday to Majorca, then a visit to this northwestern part of the island at sunset is a must. This is probably the best place in Majorca to enjoy sunsets with the entire family. It is very common to bring a picnic or eat at the nearby restaurant before stopping to admire the red and orange colours of the sunset marking the sky with the sun reflecting beautifully off the calm Mediterranean Sea.
Cap de Formentor. This is the northernmost tip of Majorca and is known for its unique pink sunsets over the Mediterranean Sea, making it perfect for romantic moments with your partner. You can get a bus here but the most recommendable way is by car. Enjoy!
